Shabu Mwangi is an artist living and working in Mukuru slum, where he has his studio. He entered the art world in 2003, driven by a need to share his perspective on society. For him, art is more than a medium—it is a window into life itself, revealing the overlooked and exposing the structures imposed by elites that shape human existence.

His work is both a reaction and an action, responding to the struggles of those living in the shadows of systemic failure.
